FOLLOWING THE VARIOUS EVOLUTIONS OF THE DOFUS GAME, IN 2025 DOFUS UNITY IS ABOUT TO BE RELEASED, A PORT OF THE 2D FLASH GAME TO UNITY.
AT FIRST, I THOUGHT THE TEAM WAS GOING TO MODEL ALL THE BUILDINGS OF "LE MONDE DES DOUZES". SO I WANTED TO TRY MY HAND AT MODELING AN ICONIC MAP OF THE CITY OF SUFOKIA.


DURING A LIVE SESSION I LEARNED THAT THEY WERE GOING TO USE UNITY'S 2D SOFTWARE TO BRING THE ENVIRONMENTS TO LIFE.
THOUGH I DECIDED TO CHANGE COURSE AND CARRY OUT A LEVEL DESIGNER'S DAILY TASK OF BUILDING A MAP FROM SPRITES AND 2D ANIMATIONS, AND GIVING LIFE AND ATMOSPHERE TO THE ENVIRONMENT.

BEFORE DISCOVERING UNITY, I HAD TO SPEND MANY HOURS ON PHOTOSHOP AND ANIMATE TO EXTRACT AND ISOLATE EACH SPRITE INDEPENDENTLY, EVENTUALLY UPSCALE IT TO GET A BETTER RESOLUTION AND CUT OUT EACH PART TO BE ABLE TO ANIMATE LATER.
IT'S A WIP, BUT I'M SHARING EVERY STEP OF THE PROJECT.
